eCommerce Front End Developer

Our client is looking to bring a Senior Front End developer onto their growing team. In this role, you will be working on their SaaS-hosted digital commerce platform (BigCommerce) to build out and enhance the overall user experience of the storefront. As a Senior Developer, you need to be a strategic thinker with superior organizational and time management skills, along with excellent research skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. To ensure success, the addition to the team should understand the business operation and decision-making processes with a keen interest in producing targeted and tangible results. Reports to: Vice President
Hours: 8:30am 5:30pm, additional hours as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze system designs, develop coding strategy, and best practices and participate in technical design
Document solutions, including program logic, procedures, implementation/deployment guides.
Experience with designing and implementing highly scalable microservices and ETL solutions (Azure Data Factory, Apache Spark)
Experience in serverless architecture
Knowledge of leveraging .Net Azure services
Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as CosmosDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, ScyllaDB, etc.
Writing and consuming web services, as well as knowledge of the underlying API related technologies (REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, WSDL)
Experience with enterprise-level ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Ecommerce experience preferred
Modern source control proficiency (Git strongly preferred)
Understanding of front-end concepts and technology
Participate in Peer code reviews, code profiling, and code performance tuning
Work in a very Agile environment with customer-centric philosophy, a drive to go beyond the norm to resolve issues fully.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of frontend web development in HTML, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript (React preferred)
2+ years eCommerce UI/UX development REQUIRED
2+ years of professional experience integrating with CMS platforms
2+ years developing web services, including RESTful APIs.
Experience with BigCommerce Stencil framework preferred, heavily favored
Self-motivated, takes ownership, delivers on time
Critical thinker, innovative problem solver

Education and Formal Training:
Degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelors' preferred.
